There is much to learn from others, and so I follow many blogs myself. I am always getting new ideas. I just added a few tweaks to my rigging (modified the lazy jacks after having a fight with them in strong winds a few days ago) today that I poached from another blog.

If you are interested in Gemini I hope you have found the Gemini Yahoo group. By all mean, get a test sail from someone, since there are plenty around.

Checkout the PDQ forum also (right side bar).

The Sailfish is excellent expereince - a small boat that let you feel the power; important also because cruising cats are very low on feel until it gets quite breezy. I sailed a Sunfish a few times; I think there is little doubt Sunfish/Sailfish get more people into sailing than any other boat.Drew Fryehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06013965677534522281noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5399150767029697926.post-32007271365708417652010-05-01T13:22:06.994-04:002010-05-01T13:22:06.994-04:00Excellent post. And even though that is the extent of my dingy experience, I can really appreciate the importance you put on a sailor's connection to weather and water. My girlfriend and I are now hoping to buy a Gemini cat sometime in 2011/12 - but with the knowledge that we have a lot to learn before the real adventures begin. Your post is a great reminder that part of that learning can and should be done on small boats. Thanks,
JacksonAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
